One Thousand Petals
One Thousand Petals
Adrian Freedman
One Thousand Petals is Adrian Freedman’s new album, a beautiful cross-cultural collaboration featuring Ayla Schafer, Deva Premal, Geshe Lama Ahbay Rinpoche, Chandra Lacombe, Helen Bøksle, Sanju Sahai, and over 30 musicians worldwide—recorded over seven years as a culmination of Adrian’s lifelong journey through classical, Zen, and Amazonian musical traditions, weaving medicine mantra songs from Lotus Rising into a tapestry of transformational healing, ancestral connection, and the purification of shadows into light.
“I made this album so I could try to share the nuanced layers of musical colours that I hear ringing in my own heart and soul, in the firm belief that sacred sound can have a transformative impact, and that in this deeply wounded world, music like this can play a role in guiding our inner journey.
I hope this music can help the listener to restore balance, and offer a place to rest and realign on the inner journey. I invite you to nurture yourselves with these sounds, absorbing them, allowing them to penetrate deeply, and receive healing at the cellular level.
I truly hope this album lands softly in the hearts of those that hear it, bringing inspiration and comfort in equal measure. It’s a life-affirming project, completing a cycle of integration between my healing path, my spiritual path and my musical path, connecting to the universal essence at the heart of all paths.”
